Hybrid in Focus: Misty Pageant Moms
Misty (Mt) is the repressed Tammy with a forced Mandy exterior. Any mother who puts her child in beauty pageants for reasons other than avoiding impending poverty is a Misty. This is a transparent tactic to make herself and the world have meaning, just like any fundamentalist religion (unfortunately, these Mistys are inherently doomed because there is no activity that proves there is no god better than child pageants). The more Misty fears that life is futile, the bigger the coveted trophy. These Mistys are also the only women who still actually use douches on a regular basis.

At first I didn't get it - i thought mandys would be the natural choice to push their offspring towards hopes and dreams.
But, now I realize that these are desperate hopes. It would be Misty who wants so much to believe in hopes and dreams that she warps it into a feverent nightmare, inevitably pulling in her spawn. Dead-eyed dolls clapping tamborines and whispering prayers, or child beauty pagents: both lead to unattainable fulfillment and desperation.
Somewhere in Misty's mind, she's fighting against what she inherently believes - that it is unattainable, OR, even if it were attainable, it doesn't matter, because nothing matters. Thus the absolute desperation in their execution -- it makes perfect sense for it to be Misty domain.
She's struggling to find hope and faith, but she doesn't, at her core, really believe she will. That's a big fight. That's fake dentures for yr kids and weight watchers at 8 years old. I can't imagine a human breast like a Mandy getting involved in this kind of debauchery of the soul.
let's all just take a moment and ponder the absolute brilliance of the phrase "human breast."
