Misty. Mandy is happiest showcasing the craft-fair detritus of HER (necessarily recent and/or current) life, right? Renaissance art, which weds a saccharine mystification of woman's "natural" character (Misty exterior) with unflinching figural realism (Misty interior), not only encapsulates Misty's essential dilemma, but, in usurping the space Misty "should" be devoting to pictures of family members, fuzzy stuff, and quilts, smacks of quiet despair.
